Paying for Nutrition

The usual comedy scenario for an audit is that the auditor is given a mess of a receipts in shoe boxes. That's how it goes here when cleaning a mess of a stack of papers. A bunch of papers are given to me to sort. When I'm done more are given.

With one eye squinted, I go through them. I noticed this last time was easier. I can keep both eyes open more and my other hand was more useful. I'll close one eye because I'll have double vision.

If I wasn't this way, I'd never let papers get out of control like that. I'd only keep what was necessary from the beginning. Most everything now was filed into the trashcan.

From how it looks to me, this is how my food (feeding tube formula)  is paid. Remember now, I'm supposed to currently be in a coma. This looks odd. Being able to do this is what makes me "semi." Going through my financial affairs is more likely a splinter skill and my neurological condition PRIOR to a brain bleed was never assessed. (I am referring to playing piano at an early age, advanced placement in school, and leaving high school/ starting college at age 16 years old.)

Payment for the formula and supplies are run through my Medicare. They are not paid for. They are given a Medicare discount, though. They are then forwarded to the supplement insurance. I have to pay for this insurance. Anthem Blue Cross then pays for all formula and supplies.

It wasn't always this way. In the hospital I was in a different financial program. Someone in finance made sure all bills for care were covered. I didn't have to worry about my nutrition.

 It's raining here.

Some of the expense can be considered food, but this is formula. It is medical in nature. It must be medically administered. Also, food can be done cheaper. There isn't any subsidized formula. I am lucky to have help and be able to figure this out. Not everyone will.

The amount that is given as what to budget for for monthly food costs can be used as a flat charge from the government. This amount was given in home ec classes when I was in school. This class proved very important and never should have been cut. Ec stands for economics. This class taught real world survival.

As it is now, I am paying more for insurance. Hopefully I can wean myself from this feeding tube on my own. (That is why I started lollipops.) I financially won't be able to keep paying for supplemental insurance. (Anyone on Medicaid or SSI is automatically out. They cannot afford any private insurance. Someone else would have to do that for them.)
